The goal of the Embassy is to promote and strengthen the good relations between Malawi and the United States of America as well as the Bahamas, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico that are represented on non-residential basis. 

​

The Embassy’s main focus is the promotion of development and the economic relations through effective transformational development assistance; the promotion of foreign direct investment; trade and tourism in line with the Malawi 2063 Policy, (MW2063). MW2063 aims at creating an "inclusively wealthy and self-reliant nation" by raising the country's status to that of lower-middle income by the year 2030; and, thereafter, attain the upper-middle income status by 2063 or earlier.

Malawians in the diaspora are fundraising to ship 10 containers of medical equipment and supplies at an estimated cost of $367,500. We have identified 10 hospital systems to receive equipment and supplies. Every dollar will make a difference.
